I live in Suwanee, Georgia. I am married with 3 children and 7 wonderful grandchildren. I just retired at the end of 2010 from a career in real estate. In my spare time (when I have any) I play bridge. Jim and I love to travel. We also look in wonder as our grandchildren grow and mature. They are all wonderful and unique individuals. I also love to grow daylilies! Life is grand, and I am thankful for every single day.

Bill Smith here. Remember me? I hope all is well with you and yours.I saw your comment to Thumper and just wanted to say hi. How long has it been? Where are you living now? I now live in a small town in Iowa named DeWitt. ( long story ). I have become accustomed to the mid west life style and the four seasons but still working on the winter part. That's a little difficult for this old Florida cracker! Please drop me a line when you can. It would be great to hear from you.
I seldon have time to get to the computer, but saw your name when I replied to George Reese...I too remember the store..lived upstairs for a while..Wow that was a while ago..I have five children, ten grandchildren and one great grandson. Have lived in Cleveland, Tn. for 25 years..LOVE IT!
My mom, Eva, passed away in 1986..She and her husband moved here only a year before and i am thankful I had her for as long as I did. I Have many fond memories of the store and the 46th street area
This is such a treat to reconnect with everyone. Life in MN is still the same. Hate winter, love summer. I now have 3 grandkids, my daughter has twins (boy/girl) and my son a has an 8 month old son. I love it! I'll send you more in an email. Hugs.
Carole Lee is off on a great road trip w Chris. She is officially retired and doing very well altho I DN see much of her, but hopefully next yr will be different. David and I hope to drive arount the country this Summer, but have an extensive IRS audit to contend w first regarding the hurricane damages. Because of the move we are having a difficult time finding records. We sold our home and bought my parents and are now living there. It is really wierd, but we are more and more comfortable w it nowadays. Hope to see great fireworks tonight. July 4th is my son Christian's birthday. :-)
Your dad was the best butcher in town...bar none. We lived in the apartments behind the store on 46th St. on the second floor. I don't remember the land lord's name, but I think they had some children that were deaf and dumb. They also had a private wood working shop where they would turn beautiful wooden bowls.
I last saw your dad at Mrs. Anderson's funeral. She lived on the corner of 39th and Spruce. Doug (her son) and I are best friends. I also went to Northboro then moved to Riviera Beach. I kept going to Northboro and then onto PBHS. Another high school buddy, Dick Kulp, also lived in the same apartment after we moved out. Dick has two other brothers, Charlie and Bill. Both went to PBHS.
I almost burned down your dad's store (not on purpose). We made match guns out of clothes pins that would light the match as you shot it. They were very cool. You dad came out and chased us off. He remembered that incident when I last saw him. He was not amused when it happened. You dad was quite a Southern gentleman.
