I'm a doting grandmother and retired attorney. We were slammed by the 2004 & 5 hurricanes and are just getting back on our feet. I love to snow ski and travel. I am learning Spanish. Just got a rescue greyhound who is both sweet and challenging.

Hey...A woman in my neighborhood is a certified tester through Therapy Dogs,Inc. out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Their number is 1-877-843-7364 (toll free). Give them a call to see if they have a tester in the West Palm area...If not, try PAWS or another of the organizations...Maybe the greyt group that you got your greyt from can help...Hustle is a very tall 83 pound white male with brown on both side of his face, a tear drop on the top of his head (he was kissed by an angel) and a big brown patch on his side and over his rump...He probably looks a lot like your dog...The next time we come down to see the kids I;ll holler at you and bring him over to visit his cousin...Ha...
Hey Lynn....So glad to see that you now have one of the greatest, sweetest couch potatoes that God ever created...I also have a greyhound rescue named Hustle...He is now 6 years old, a therapy dog and he and I work as a team going to visit friends and neighbors in the hospital and rehabs...I am involved in a rescue group out of Orlando and made 2 rescue runs to deliver dogs right off the track last year to Dewey Beach , Delaware(6 dogs) and Jekyll Island, Georgia(4 dogs)...It's a thrill to see them get placed in forever homes...Good luck with your new baby.....Cappy
Hi Lynne, Haha ... no Dorian Grey in the attic! Sorry to hear about your hurricane damage. We had quite a bit from Frances and Jeanne in 04, but as soon as the repairs were complete we put our house on the market, and it sold in one day. For once, our timing was right. Usually we buy high and sell low, but this time everything fell into place. We are in Blairsville, which is GA, but very close to the NC line. In fact, we go to dinner every Friday night in Murphy, NC. I can understand why you wouldn't want to leave your son and granddaughter, though. There are many things we like about living in the mountains, but the winter weather is not one of them. The snow is beautiful but I'd rather be at the beach. We're trying to find a way to spend maybe 6 weeks in FL when it's really cold up here.
Hi Lynn - what a great dog for you - slim, sleek and classy - just like its owner! We are working this summer - has not been a great past two years with the building bust - as you know, Jim and Kelly were building and we were stuck with two houses - one we rented and the last one just went under contract with a leases purchase. Kelly had to sell her house in Cabbagetown and is now living with us. The twins are going to be in 6th grade. Really, it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as she is going back to U of Ga to finish her degree. She was in her junior year when she got married and was planning to finish but the twins came along, and you know how that goes. She is doing great and will graduate next summer. I am going to be there in January come hell or high water!!! I would invite you up this summer, but we have a house full with the kids. Do you see much of Carole Lee?
Hey Lynne, Jim Grantham told me awhile back that you were looking for property here in Blairsville.... Did you change your mind? BTW, our neighbors have a rescue greyhound and she is such a sweet dog. Congratulations on yours.
