I've posted a few photos taken at our get-together in Franklin, NC last month. I think Jim Grantham is having computer problems, but he should have more when he's up and running again.

Hi Cappy,
What fun that reunion in NC must have been. I hope Ceal can make it to the 50th in June. I would love to see her. I'm going to try and come. More on that later.

Many, many thanks to Jimmie Grantham and his lovely Sandy for putting together a mini reunion October 25th in Franklin, North Carolina..Carolyn HIcks Britton and I were visiting Ceal Webb Masters whom we hadn't seen in almost 40 years at her home in Hendersonville and took the beautiful drive over the mountain...The folliage was gorgeous and we had such a great time visiting with our classmates..Sandy Campbell found the facility which hosted 40 of us...There were at least 7 or 8 of the Northboro clan there...Where else could you go and find friends you've known since the first grade...What a great time to grow up and even better to still be friends...We're looking forward to seeing all of you at our 50th in June...Hugs, Cappy

I cant believe it has been almost 50 years! I like to refer to myself as a recycled teenager. I refuse to grow up. lol

i'll have to get resourcefully busy getting some other "southies" (kids from the south end) to join this group. Gema Harvey Fernandez and i, who met in fifth grade at St. Juliana's school, reconnected after taking divergent paths through life, reconnected just before her husband died. trying to find Karen Lancaster Sexton (class of 59), Gema suggested i contact Joanne Alban ???. I did, and Joanne provided Karen's local number. Karen lived across the street from me when i lived on the corner of Hunter St and Lake Ave where i lived from 1952 or 53 until the summer after 8th grade.. She ended up in Panama City for the majority of her adult life, but i knew she had moved back to the area.

to get some "southies" as a member of this group, i'll have to try to find Linda Campbell (class of 60) Middleton's e-mail buried somewhere in my lifetime collection of phone numbers and contact information. Linda (or nickname "Campbell) since we ran around with Linda Pinney ("Pinney"), and Linda Catalano ("Catalano- class of 61 or later - not sure) a bit during my senior year. my nickname that followed me to UF was "Herb". and we "hung out" in today's parlance. i'm not sure what we called it then other than "I"ve got my father's car tonight", and we proceeded to pool our nickels and dimes, bought a $1 or so of gas and cruised the night away. so i guess it was called "cruising".
